I made a variety of hand painted, homemade
masks for baby dolls back in the late 90s using
very old techniques.
This baby doll was a favorite of my younger daughter.
She “loved” it out of shape.
The mask was made with a very old technique.
Someday I will add a tutorial about this method to my blog if
my students show some interest in it. Most masks are
pressed into a mold in order to form them. With this
technique, the exact opposite method is used. Consequently,
molds are not needed, only old doll heads.
